End of Year/2016/Rules
Rapidly nearing the end of the season so a bit of sorting to do....
1 - As Boxing Day falls on a Saturday, it seems sensible to end the season after that and have a short festive break. Or would you all rather carry on until New Years Eve (Thursday) and have a short, but extra week??
2 - With that in mind, do we start the 2016 comp on New Years Day with a very short week? Or start on the following Monday. I think start on Jan 1. Thoughts??
3 - Again with that in mind, Who's in for next year?? I certainly am.
4 - Aaaaaand with that in mind, Do we need any changes to the rules? Anything adding, taking away, tweaking or twerking or is everything tickety-boo.
Are the sub-comps ok?? Any suggestions for any improvements or tweaks needed??

On second thoughts, Steve, ending on Boxing Day is best and then a break until New Years Day with a two-day week. (Or adding the two days on to the following week making the first week of January an 8 day week, as an option).

I have replied to this before and now my post has disappeared again?! Anyway - it was to say I think the 8 day week option is good.

Yes, I like that option too, Charles.
So end on Boxing day, then start next year with an 8 day week on 1st Jan looks favourite.
Clive/Patrick - Any further thoughts??

My two pence;
start on January 1st with a short week..
I can be settling again (with Charles with my back-up settler).

Think we should go with the 8 day week for next year and end this one on Boxing Day.Dancing Brave wrote:On second thoughts, Steve, ending on Boxing Day is best and then a break until New Years Day with a two-day week. Hi, Linoleum here (Charles' wife) very recently retired (last Friday) so thought I'd show him how it's done! Afraid I won't be posting every day, every race as my skills are more in the line of do I like the name and the colours they're wearing. Am sure it will be fun and might even do a few on Boxing day if that's ok. Best wishes for a happy Christmas.
