End of Year/2016/Rules Empty End of Year/2016/Rules

Post by upduck Sun Dec 06, 2015 7:42 am

Rapidly nearing the end of the season so a bit of sorting to do....
1 - As Boxing Day falls on a Saturday, it seems sensible to end the season after that and have a short festive break. Or would you all rather carry on until New Years Eve (Thursday) and have a short, but extra week??
2 - With that in mind, do we start the 2016 comp on New Years Day with a very short week? Or start on the following Monday. I think start on Jan 1. Thoughts??

3 - Again with that in mind, Who's in for next year?? I certainly am.

4 - Aaaaaand with that in mind, Do we need any changes to the rules? Anything adding, taking away, tweaking or twerking or is everything tickety-boo.
Are the sub-comps ok?? Any suggestions for any improvements or tweaks needed??

On second thoughts, Steve, ending on Boxing Day is best and then a break until New Years Day with a two-day week. (Or adding the two days on to the following week making the first week of January an 8 day week, as an option).

I have replied to this before and now my post has disappeared again?!  Anyway - it was to say I think the 8 day week option is good.

Yes, I like that option too, Charles.
So end on Boxing day, then start next year with an 8 day week on 1st Jan looks favourite.

Clive/Patrick - Any further thoughts??

Think we should go with the 8 day week for next year and end this one on Boxing Day.
Everyone ok with that????

Hi, Linoleum here (Charles' wife) very recently retired (last Friday) so thought I'd show him how it's done!  Afraid I won't be posting every day, every race as my skills are more in the line of do I like the name and the colours they're wearing.  Am sure it will be fun and might even do a few on Boxing day if that's ok.  Best wishes for a happy Christmas.
