Settling Query for Steve
We've dealt with this issue before, Steve, I know, but we've lost the revised rules which covered this issue, which is:
Patrick got 6/6 placed at Exeter today, what bonus does he receive, please?
(Clive might remember from having had this situation previously).

Re: Settling Query for Steve
From the rules:
"6 selections finishing in a qualifying place position = £50.00 (if more than 6 races)
Through the card (7 or more) in a qualifying place position = £250.00"
I suggest £100 would be more suitable, Steve, or maybe £150.
I'm not happy to give Patrick a £250 bonus. Although he went through the card with 6/6 it clearly states "7 or more" to qualify for the £250.
5/6 would win only £25 so it's too massive a jump to 6/6 at £250.
Please reconsider.
Your ruling will be taken unequivocally, cheers.

Have to say £100 would seem more appropriate. Saw this just before watching the races-id hoped more than two would actually win

Possibly correct on the £100. HAve lost theb origianl psot that had edits on it so had to go with origianl rules without edits.

Re: Settling Query for Steve
Let's call it £100 then.
Hopefully Hugo can resurrect the "newer" rules which were archived, (so he said!), to establish what they said on this point.

2014 Daily Tipster topic/thread for January through August 2014 can be found here;
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
(this also includes the rules as written at the beginning of the area for reference! - wahoo!)
So what happened?
Basically, to save on database accessing time and website loading time, the forum automatically 'trims' topics/threads which reach over 990 posts.
So in late August, our '2014 Daily Tipster Competition' topic breached the 990 mark, and at some point soon after that, the forum automatically picks up the first 90% or so of the messages and 'archives' it this into a 'locked topic' of the same name (which cannot be edited, or deleted) - and this is the link ive provided above.
So you can use this to go back and resolve any 'settling issues'
